The hiring manager will contact an applicant directly if they are interested in arranging an interview. Following the interviews, the hiring manager will select the most suitable candidate for the position.

Where can I find salary information for open positions?

How do I know if a job at Carnegie is still open?

Any position that appears on the Carnegie Careers website is still open.

How long does a position remain open?

Positions are posted on the Carnegie Careers website for at least 7 calendar days. A position will remain open until the position is either closed (an applicant hired) or cancelled (position closed without a hire).

Who can I talk directly to about a job I have applied for?

A manager will contact you directly if they are interested in speaking with you about a position for which you applied. We regret that due to the volume of applicants Carnegie receives, we are unable to respond to each candidate individually regarding the status of his or her application.

Why is Carnegie asking me to self-identify if I am a veteran or disabled?

Carnegie Institution for Science is committed to Diversity. We recognize the importance of supporting applicants who offer diverse experiences and backgrounds. As a federal contractor, Carnegie is fulfilling the requirements of regulations that went into effect January 1, 2015 to identify applicants who have a disability, are veterans, or are active military. This is a voluntary disclosure; however, we invite you to complete the form. With this information, Carnegie can measure our outreach efforts to applicants. Providing this information will have no adverse effect on your application or possible employment.
